Monte Farropo is a great location for exploring the beautiful region. Guests have available numerous hiking trails in the area or can also explore the countryside by bicycle. Alqueva is the first site in the world to receive the “Starlight Tourism Destination” certification. You can also do, Geocaching, hiking, visits to local monuments, arts and craft activities and wine tasting among others. Évora is only 50 kms far and is a UNESCO world heritage city.
Monte Farropo is a small family accommodation with 6 guestrooms surrounded by a beautiful countryside. It was rebuilt in 2007 and it was made an effort to put a highlight into the details of the original construction. All rooms are air conditioned and decorated to reflect the regional styles with furniture and local handicrafts.
The house is used by their owners sporadically, there arose the need to share this space to give a greater utilization and profitability. Preferably, the house will be rented as a whole or alternatively, room by room. There are 3 double rooms (Corval, Outeiro and Barrada) and another one is a triplex room for 6 pax that consists of 3 separate areas with 4 single beds and 1 sofa bed.
All rooms are air conditioned and decorated to reflect the regional styles with furniture and local handicrafts.
Guests can enjoy the fruits of the season, including quinces, pomegranates and oranges on existing organic garden and orchard. At breakfast, on request, you can enjoy fresh baked bread from Alentejo, homemade honey cake and local products such as sausages and excellent goat cheeses.
The outdoor patio is the perfect place to enjoy your breakfast or enjoy a good Alentejo wine with tapas while admiring the beautiful view and the sunset on the plains.
